Hobonichi Techo - TSUKI no IRO: Blotting Paper
Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
The TSUKI no IRO stationery series incorporates these colors into simple designs. This ink blotting paper features an original "TSUKI no IRO" design. The design features free, sweeping lines that look as if they were drawn with a pen, as well as droplets of ink stains. The way the colors layer beautifully every time it absorbs ink makes this an item that grows in character with each use.
