Sailor was established in 1911 by Kyugoro Sakata, becoming Japan’s first fountain pen company. Since then Sailor has achieved many firsts within Japan and the world such as developing the first Japanese ballpoint pen in 1948 and coining the word “cartridge.” They have also received the honor of being visited by Imperial Prince Hirohito in 1926. The TUZU Fountain Pen tackles two common challenges: 1) Ink doesn't flow well when writing 2) Difficult to know where to grip the pen. This pen has a rotating nib feature that allows the nib angle/grip positions to be adjusted in 10-degree pitches. It allows the user to find the most comfortable position when writing.
