  • This series is called Zhuó Yǐng in Chinese, which means the illusion seen when fabric is washed in water. The entire series depicts the scenes witnessed by a dedicated fabric dyer who works late into the night.

  • The orange color is called Huó Jiāng, which refers to the active dye needed to ensure vibrant colors during the the dyeing process. The dye must ferment to exhibit a orange-yellow hue.

  • This ink contains metallic particles giving it a shimmer finish.
