Hobonichi Techo - Yoshie Watanabe: Sticky Notes (Petit Bloom)
Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
These sticky notes can be carried around by slipping them into your techo cover pocket or your Weeks book. This was created using flower motifs by art director Yoshie Watanabe. Designed with beautifully blooming colorful flowers, it comes in sizes suitable for use as index tabs or stickers, and sizes ideal for notes or page decoration. The back of the backing sheet includes a Western proverb cherished by Watanabe.
