Hobonichi Techo - Yoshie Watanabe: Cover on Cover for A5 Size (Dotted Plaid)
Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
This clear cover fits perfectly over your Hobonichi Techo cover to protect it from dirt and scratches. This is a design created by art director Yoshie Watanabe. Evenly spaced dots are arranged to look like a plaid pattern. The dots are printed in four colors — white, green, blue, and pink — using silkscreen printing. It gives a fresh impression no matter what color techo cover you pair it with.
