Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
This pen case-style pouch unzips to lay completely flat, allowing you to see all of its contents at a single glance. The design features sheep roaming freely in a pasture, woven into a necktie fabric. The vibrant green fabric features perfectly spaced, fluffy sheep silhouettes. You will spot a sheep falling asleep, one jumping over a fence, and another riding a skateboard. If you look closely, you will even find a sheep sporting a pompadour!
