Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
This clear cover fits onto a Hobonichi Techo cover to protect it from wear and tear. A design set born from a collaboration with the digital handheld pet, Tamagotchi. This design features Tamagotchis from the original "Tamagotchi" and "New Species Discovered!! Tamagotchi" lined up across the front and back. You'll also spot familiar motifs like the poop icon, skull mark, discipline meter, and Mood-Up Game.
