Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
These cute and colorful frame stickers come in 25 designs and allow you to fill in the date. Made of translucent tracing paper with a light and smooth texture. Below the date, there’s space to write the day of the week, weather, anniversaries, or anything else—allowing for personalized arrangements.
