2027 Hobonichi Techo English Weeks - Moomin: A Day in the Life of Snufkin
Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
This Moomin Weeks book captures Snufkin through the intricate weave of a necktie fabric. Set against a deep green background, the design depicts Snufkin freely going about his day, including a scene of him spending time with Moomintroll. The decoration on Snufkin's hat is woven with bronze metallic thread, adding a touch of sparkle to the cover. The cover has been constructed as a light hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends.
