2027 Hobonichi Techo Cousin A5 Planner Cover Only - V&A Series: Blackthorn
Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
For 2027, the A5 Cover will be sold separately from the planner book.
This is a collaboration with the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum, London). Drawing from the museum’s unparalleled collections, designs created by William Morris and his creative companions have been turned into a techo cover. The front cover features John Henry Dearle’s 1912 "Leicester" wallpaper pattern.
