Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
This clear cover fits onto a Hobonichi Techo cover to protect it from wear and tear. Designed by graphic designer and illustrator Yuri Sanae. Inspired by the quiet moments spent with your techo, this design features a lake in a forest surrounded by flowers and greenery. Printed in yellow, navy, and purple, along with white and silver ink, it has a refined and sophisticated feel.
