Sailor was established in 1911 by Kyugoro Sakata, becoming Japan’s first fountain pen company. Since then Sailor has achieved many firsts within Japan and the world such as developing the first Japanese ballpoint pen in 1948 and coining the word “cartridge.” They have also received the honor of being visited by Imperial Prince Hirohito in 1926. Now, Sailor is well known for their beautiful, high-quality resin Pro Gear fountain pens and multiple ink series that are enjoyed by enthusiasts at various stages of the fountain pen hobby.

  • The highly anticipated 5th installment of the Sailor "Tea Time Around the World" series: Japanese Tea Ceremony. This collection is a beautiful homage to the peaceful and intricate art of "Cha-no-yu," a centuries-old tradition that embodies deep spirituality and aesthetics. Inspired by the delicate, artistic Japanese sweets served during a Japanese tea ceremony. Nerikiri are traditional confections, often crafted into beautiful seasonal shapes, that are designed to complement the flavor of the tea and serve as the highest form of hospitality. The cap of these pens are a translucent beige, while the body and grip section are a soft, translucent violet. All trim is gold-plated.
