2026 Hobonichi Techo Japanese Weeks - April Start - Kyohei Sakaguchi: En Route to Kumamoto Port at Dawn
Hobonichi started as a lifestyle website “Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun,” [Almost Daily Itoi Newspaper] in 1998 featuring “almost-daily” essays by founder and editor-in-chief, Shigesato Itoi, who is well known for other ventures including game design and songwriting. In 2001, the Hobonichi Techo [planner] was launched after positive response from readers when asked if they would purchase a techo by the brand if developed. Since then, the Hobonichi lineup has grown from 1 to 7 types, with some being available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, and has sold over 10 million copies over the world.
Wallet-sized Techo Weeks in Japanese/April Start Features:
Printed with a landscape painting by writer, musician and artist Kyohei Sakaguchi. This image depicting the cool, early morning sky takes up the entirety of this cover. While realistic in style, it was made using pastels and the fingers. In order to bring out the warmth that comes with this, the cover is made out of a canvas like cloth material.
