The workshop will take place in our shop at 305 E. 4th St. Unit 103, Santa Ana, CA 92701 

Class Size: 20 students 

 *Those attending with others can request to be seated together by indicating they are in the same group

Workshop Description:

This is a workshop where you carve a butter knife from a small blank of wood.  We will discuss the butter knife designs, suitable wood species and tools for utensil making, basic carving techniques, and finishing methods.   Additionally, we will explore potential future projects, like spoon carving, to continue honing your carving skills beyond the workshop.

Materials included in the workshop:

  • Carving knife
  • Safety gloves
  • 2 Walnut blanks
  • Tabletop workboard
  • Misc. (sandpapers, a non-slip mat, a sample Walnut oil, templates)

Age Requirement: This workshop is for ages 18+

    What else do you need to know?

    You do not need to bring anything else to the workshop, just yourself! The registration cost is all-inclusive of materials needed for this experience!
