July 8: Intro to Procreate for iPad Lettering Projects with Letters By Shells

Workshop Description:
The overall purpose of this workshop is to take your iPad lettering skills to the next level and master how to create beautiful lettering pieces on the iPad!
During this 3-hour workshop, you will get to explore how to make your lettering creations stand out by utilizing Shelly’s favorite features on the procreate app. The following topics will also be covered:
- Understanding the different brushes to use when creating on the iPad
- Understanding the different pressure level when using the brushes to create lettering pieces
- Understanding quick tips, techniques & shortcuts utilizing the layers
- Understanding shortcuts when creating utilizing all the procreate features
- Understanding the various effects to add character and dimension to your lettering
- How to create your own custom brushes + stamps
- How to create fun backgrounds to compliment your lettering
As a class, we will be able to review frequently asked questions throughout the workshop together and create the following projects: galaxy lettering, adding shadows, creating ombre backgrounds, creating seamless patterns, 3D lettering and so much more!
*Requirements for the workshop:
- iPad (must be compatible with Apple Pencil) + Apple Pencil (must be correct generation for your iPad)
- Download of the Procreate App by Savage Interactive Pty Ltd ($12.99 at the Apple App Store for iPad)
- Note: iPad must have Procreate App downloaded and ready to use for workshop
- Some experience with brush lettering, hand lettering, or lettering will be helpful - it's is highly recommended if you have no lettering experience, that you first take Shelly's Modern Brush Lettering workshop or Intro to iPad Brush Lettering workshop before taking this workshop. Those workshops focus on learning the basics of lettering.
You will receive the following resources during the workshop:
- Digital Procreate Brushes + Digital Stamps made by Shelly!
- Digital Guide filled with tips, techniques, and shortcuts that will be reviewed during the workshop given in a PDF format
- Personalized name tag and stationery goods from Shelly
This workshop is all about having fun while learning the beauty of creating lettering projects on the iPad! I have tailored this workshop for you to elevate your lettering skills! Let's all just use this time to relax, learn, and letter with good company!
